Unique Gifts for kids under $40

Christmas is just a little over a week away! But if you’re like me, you still haven’t finished shopping.

Stumped on what to get? Looking for something different and unique? There’s nothing wrong with toys from the toy store. Kids see things on TV and immediately add them to their list. Can you blame them?! I did the same thing! And don’t even get me started on the Toys ‘R Us toy catalog that came each year. I used to walk around with that thing like it were the bible. It was the holy grail of childhood Christmas.

But sometimes it’s fun to give different types of gifts. Things you don’t always see on TV and things that aren’t the “toy of the year” or the latest trend. So if you’re looking for something unique and different, I’ve put together a few unique gifts for kids under $40 for you to choose from.

c/o Put Me in the Story

Put Me in the Story: My kids absolutely LOVE these books. Put Me in the Story takes your kids favorite bestselling books and characters and puts your child’s name, picture, and a personalized message from the gift giver IN the story! They love seeing their names and picture next to their favorite characters. And there are so many different stories to choose from!

Tool box: Get your little builder their very own toolbox with their very own name on it!

Name puzzle: A puzzle of their very own name; cute as a display or helpful in teaching them to spell their name.

Lego case: Sick of stepping on Legos every morning?! These cute and functional Lego cases will keep everyone’s feet safe!

Growth chart: Choose from different designs and themes.

Car playmat: Sometimes the best toys aren’t ones that require batteries. Let them use their imaginations and play for hours!

Wooden camera: I think these are just the cutest! Perfect for your little camera person 🙂

Pretend makeup: I’ve mentioned this here a few times before but this has been a lifesaver! It looks just like my makeup so my little one is content using this instead of mine (most of the time…)

Flexible Construction Fort: Don’t have room for a teepee or tent in the playroom? This is super easy to build and take down! The kids love theirs!

Giga Ball: I honestly have no idea how to explain this other than you get inside this giant inflatable ball and roll around! But I can guess my kids would be busy with this for hours.

Do you buy the hottest toys or unique gifts? Any other fun ideas you would add to the list?
