16 Week Bumpdate
How far along: 16 weeks
Size of baby: Avocado
Baby’s weight: 4-5 in 3-5 oz
My total weight gain: 12 pounds. I cannot believe how much weight I’ve gained and continue to gain! I only gained 25 total with Bubba and I am really hoping to only gain the same for this one!
Baby’s development:
-Baby’s body fat is beginning to form
-Can hear and loud noises will startle her
-Eyes are making side to side movements and can perceive some light
-Baby is sharpening sucking and swallowing reflexes
-Within in the next few weeks, individual fingerprints will be formed!
Stretch marks: None.
Maternity clothes: Full force! The most uncomfortable thing? Bras. I’ve found a few I’ll be going into detail about in the next few weeks!
Gender: Girl (hopefully) haha we go in 3 weeks to confirm.
Movement: I thought I felt her once or twice but I’m not positive yet.
Sleep: Insomnia is kicking in and I’ve been wide awake for 1-2 hours every night.
What I miss: Feeling thin and fitting into my clothes.
Food cravings: Chips, anything salty really.
Symptoms: Sore breasts, acne, emotional, dizziness.
Nolan is: 19 months old this weekend; I can’t believe it! He gets super jealous when I hold other babies and it’s going to be pretty interesting when P gets here!
Zach is: busy with clearing Fort Drum and prepping for our move.
What I’m looking forward to: FALL. And a doctors appointment Tuesday morning 🙂
Best moments: Bubba decided to play cars on my belly… melt.
Funny things: I’d say the above was pretty funny as well 🙂
Not so funny things: being beyond stressed out; there is literally crap everywhere in this household and I’m ready to just toss it all out!
And if you haven’t already heard me talk about Mer, you HAVE to go meet her and say hello…like right now! We share a mutual friend from college so yes, I’ve actually met her in real life! She blogs about just about everything with a focus on healthy living. Be sure to check her out and say hello!
Hi nuggets. Hope you’re having a fabulous Friday! My name is Meredith and I blog over at Mer In America, I am very excited to be guest posting on Samantha’s blog, as I have known her for awhile…(outside of bloggy world). Sam and I went to the best university ever (Miami University of Ohio…woo woo) so we share that special collegiate bond.
I typically blog about “wellness”, but I often side track to my other passions, such as Bravo, TV shows, favorite products, and things that happen in my everyday life. I feel like my blog helps me process things that occur daily, and I hope it does the same for my readers!
Today, I wanted to encourage all of you do do something that I have been working on doing. I am trying to “stay well”, which can be difficult in my hectic life. I am sure you all relate all too well. So, I was thinking that it would be a mini achievement to be able to say that I could do one “well” thing a day, no matter how small. For example, asking for no sour cream on your chili, ordering water instead of a Diet Coke, walking to a store/restaurant instead of driving or taking public transportation. You don’t have to be a fitness/health nut to take care of yourself every day. So readers (and new readers that I hopefully get from this guest post:), let’s make each other accountable. How are you going to do something “well” for yourself today?
Thanks for having me Samantha! Xo and stay well, Meredith
