I’ll never forget my first Caboodle. I was obbbbbbbsessed with it. It was turquoise (see through) with glitter, and it came everywhere with me. My friend and I used to spend hours in her room organizing our Caboodles. We would trade our makeup, try different colors on, and pretty much talk about nothing but makeup for hours.
Fast forward to now and I’m still obsessed with Caboodles. I’m already a lover of all things vintage and things that remind me of childhood, so when I saw this at Target, I knew it was coming home with me. I’m slowly getting more obsessed with lipsticks and they were starting to take over my bathroom counter. I had them organized in another container but I ran out of room. This Caboodle was the perfect solution!
In the top compartment I put all of my lip liners. Which to be honest, I didn’t even know I had that may lip liners. Whoops! Underneath it I put all of my lipsticks, which will probably be switched out to the bottom sometime soon because that collection is getting a little large. And the bottom is all of my lip glosses, lip balms, etc. The smaller compartment on the side is for my lip scrubs, conditioners, etc. Gotta keep those lips smooth and ready for the lipstick!
While shopping at Target I decided to add a few lipsticks to my collection. With it being winter (unofficially) I’m super ready to try some of this season’s trends. Here are a few of the colors I’m loving and what I would wear them with:
Nude. I love how subtle and natural this looks. I would use this in more casual environments and when wearing browns and earthy tones.
Plum. This is technically a plum color but not over-the-top. This would also be good for everyday wear and would go with pretty much anything!
Fuchsia. I paired it with a bright colored flannel below but this is definitely going to stand out! So I would wear it with outfits that are a little on the sassier side.
Browns. This was the one that was outside of my comfort zone. But surprisingly, I really liked how it looked. I would wear this with neutral and earth tone pieces as well.
Wine. This may be my absolute favorite. It feels very vampy and sophisticated and I would wear this out for a fancy date night or girls night.
Picking up this Caboodle for my lipsticks has been such a big help in keeping my lipsticks in one place. I have a habit of leaving them in purses, on my dresser, etc, but now I know where they SHOULD go and where I SHOULD be able to find them. Just need to make it a habit to do it 🙂 If you’re feeling nostalgic or looking for a way to get organized, get yourself a Caboodle… while supplies last!
What are your favorite colors for the winter? How do you organize all of them? Did you have a Caboodle growing up?!
