Breakfast date for two with #TruMoo

This post is sponsored by TruMoo but all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

We’ve been super stressed out lately; with the move to Georgia, addition of our second child and the holidays, we haven’t been able to spend much time together. And date nights? Totally out of the question with a nursing newborn and two year old wild child.
So I decided it would be fun to make a random Monday morning a little date morning; actually sit down, eat breakfast without running around, and enjoy some quality time together.
Nolan’s been on a chocolate milk kick lately so we were really excited to hear that TruMoo was coming out with a special flavor for February… Chocolate Marshmallow! We usually just make our own chocolate milk but I was looking for a new option that didn’t have high fructose corn syrup, unnecessary sugar, and pure cocoa.

We love the original chocolate flavor and can’t wait to try the new one this month!

I made a little continental breakfast spread; homemade donuts, fruit, yogurt, etc. and we sat down at the table and just talked. No Mickey Mouse Clubhouse playing in the background, no toddler throwing his food on the ground or needing to nurse, but actually sat down and just enjoyed each other’s company.

I think it’s important that we do this more often; no matter how busy we are, we have to remember that we need a few minutes a day for just the two of us. And what better way to start our days than with some quality one-on-one time 🙂
