Friday Five: New Products I’ve Tried Recently

Happy Friday babes! This week had me all sorts of confused. After a week in NYC I was so tired that I slept 11 hours (and still felt exhausted the next day). I’ve baked cookies for N’s International Feast Day, started back in the gym, and tried to catch up on work work and housework. Life=crazy.

So today’s post is short but sweet. I wanted to share a few of the new products I’ve tried recently.

It Cosmetics- How cute is this packaging, first of all? But this is the first ever Solid Serum Foundation. I love, love how smooth it went on and I think it may become one of my new favorite foundations.

Aveda Wedding Masque and Wedding Masque Eye– Aveda products have to be one of my all-time favorite smelling products…obsessed. The product is meant to help brighten and tone skin overtime. I have a ton of dark spots from picking my skin/acne so I am really hoping this will work overtime. I also love that these were named after the Indian Haldi tradition where a homemade tumeric paste was applied to the bride and groom the night before their wedding for glowing skin. So cool, right?

Butter London BlushClutch Palette in Just Darling + PlushRush Lip Gloss in Late Night = Key Makeup Artist Scott Patric used these butter LONDON goodies on the Project Runway LED challenge. I love these colors, perfect for everyday wear.

Pixi Package– Pixi collaborated with 4 beauty industry gurus and featured their favorite products. I’ve used the Lower Lash Mascara but I’m looking forward to trying the other ones. The collection features a ton of different products from skincare to eyes to lips…all the bases are covered!

Jimmy Case– Sometimes you don’t want to bring a purse when you go out, right? This case holds up to 6 cards and cash. I only ever take my ID and a credit card when I go out for the night so this is perfect. Fits right in the pocket and I have everything I need!

I actually just bought that “iT” foundation compact and also really like it. Not sure about the staying power, but it has great coverage! Might try out that Butter London… or at least play around with it at Ulta soon!

Nice spread. I like the idea of the Jimmy Case because there are many occasions where I only want to carry the bare minimal.

I recently tried the Pixi Double Cleanse but didn’t love it. I want to try the Aveda tulusara though. I love Aveda!

  • Your list is a very nice inspiration for me, I’m glad that I’ve discovered these products!
