25 of the scariest movies to watch on Halloween

I LOVE scary movies. Not just on Halloween but all year round. My parents tell me that I used to watch Child’s Play and Tales of the Crypt as a child and not even think twice about it. What’s even funnier? My kids love to watch all of the Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark? episodes so I guess you can say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

But I’m always on a mission to find the scariest movies. Not necessarily gory or disgusting, but movies that make you totally creeped out. Whether they make you think, turn off your lights and run up the stairs or triple check your locks, it’s fun to be a little scared, right? So I’ve put together a list of 25 of the scariest movies to watch on Halloween. In no particular order..

Child’s Play (the 2nd one is my favorite)

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (never seen the original but heard it’s scarier)

Paranormal Activity (they’re all REALLY good)

The Blair Witch Project (scared me SO much as a kid)

The Witches (loved it when I was younger)

The Amityville Horror (I’ve never seen the original but loved the newer one)

The Exorcist (I went to visit the stairs in Georgetown when we lived there!)

Shutter

Saw (I only remember seeing the first one so the others are on my list!)
