Gift ideas to keep your toddler entertained

We all know the scenario; kids get SO many gifts for Christmas, play with them for 5 minutes, and then they never touch them again. And while I’d love to say they don’t need anything for Christmas this year, it’s still Christmas and I want to get them something to open!

So today I’ve compiled a list of gift ideas to keep your toddler entertained. Maybe you want to gift them an experience but still want to give them something to open to go along with it. Or maybe you need 20 minutes to yourself and need them to do something that doesn’t lose their interest. I’ve got you covered! Read below for gift ideas to keep your toddler entertained!

Gift ideas to keep your toddler entertained

Building blocks: Not going to lie, this one is a little bit nostalgic for me. Does anyone else remember playing with these?! But the possibilities are endless with these types of blocks. Towers, houses, lots of things can happen with a little imagination!

Farmer’s Market Color Sorting Set: This set is adorable, and it’s educational! Practice counting, colors, vegetable and fruit names.

Busy Board: I actually bought one of these for our flight to Texas over the summer and it was a great save when the wifi didn’t work! Haha but it helps them with fine and gross motor skills and will keep them occupied for quite a bit!

Rainbow Counting Bears: These are also a bit nostalgic for me but we love them for a few reasons. Easy for her to practice sorting, patterns, counting, etc. But she also loves to just play little bear family with them 🙂

Magnetic Tiles: Another great toy for independent play and with endless possibilities! Plus the more you have the better, so it’s the perfect gift idea to give to anyone when they ask. Continue to build your collection!

The Preschool Box: I’m always looking for gifts that can also be educational as well as fun, and The Preschool Box is absolutely adorable! Each box includes 4 weeks of lesson plans and includes 16+ activities, ready-to-go crafts and a fun book. Even if your child is in school or daycare, this is great to supplement their learning and development at home. The Preschool Box is aimed at children ages 3-6 and is designed as a 12 month program. And on the 12th month, your child will receive a graduation box! Isn’t that adorable?! You can choose a plan that’s right for you; monthly, quarterly, half a year or a full year. You can check out their website for more details!

Flower Garden Building toy: Not only is this garden adorable but it’s also a STEM tool!

Kinetic sand: Kinetic sand spans a wide range of ages so you will definitely get your monies worth! And kids of all ages can play together 🙂

Rainbow magic scratch set: Talk about hours of fun! The possibilities are endless; take it in the car, do it at home, it’s also fun for all ages!

Magic Doodle Water Mat: Just fill the pen with clean water, draw on the mat, and the drawings automatically disappear in 3-10 minutes!

Micro Scooter: My youngest got this as a Christmas present last year and she is SO good on it! Perfect for younger kids to learn the world of scootering!

Mermaid Island Water Table: Our water table gets so much use; you can even bring it indoors and use it with water beads in the winter!

Gonge riverstones: Every kid loves “floor is lava” and these riverstones are the perfect addition to any living room or basement.

Airfort: This is perfect for entertaining the little ones during the cold winter months. Just need a box fan and you’ve got entertainment for hours.

And there you have it! A bunch of gift ideas to keep your toddler entertained. Wishing you the happiest and joyous holiday season! xo
