Embrace the mess with your little ones.

I’m sharing #JOHNSONS in my life as part of a JOHNSON’S® sponsored series for Socialstars™

Babies are messy but let me tell you, so are toddlers. Well I guess technically now I have a toddler and a preschooler. When did that happen? Wahh! But my point is, the mess never ends. And while you can’t always prepare for the mess of raising little ones, you can at least be prepared for the clean up.

I stopped carrying a traditional diaper bag a long time ago. I nursed so I didn’t need bottles. Kids didn’t take binkies so we didn’t need those. So I pretty much just shoved diapers and wipes into whatever purse I was using for the day and went on my merry little way.

It’s even easier now because we’re almost done with diapers! Yay! And I say almost because homegirl decides when and if she wants to go. I won’t get into the potty training details today but what I’m getting at is, I’ll no longer carry diapers and wipes. But I will carry the new JOHNSONS® HEAD-TO-TOE™ Cleansing Cloths for all of the messes that we encounter. Why are they so great? Well for starters, they’re pre-moistened, paraben- and phthalate-free and 2x* bigger than a typical baby wipe. And they’re super easy to throw in my bag for the everyday messes and the spontaneous ones.

Need an example? I took the kids to the playground last week and it was hot. Well the splash pad is right next to it and they insisted on running through it. I hadn’t planned on it so besides sunscreen, I had nothing else (hence the lack of bathing suits). But as we were nearing the end of summer and in the spirit of “let them be little”, I let them do it.

Fast forward twenty minutes and they were sweaty, sticky, and muddy after running through the grass. SO before getting into my semi-new car, I wiped them down with JOHNSONS® HEAD-TO-TOE™ Cleansing Cloths. Our own little bath time without the tub!

You can’t predict the messes but then what fun would that be?! Getting messy is a part of childhood; embrace the mess with your little ones! They can’t learn if they don’t play and they can’t play without getting messy. So as long as you’re prepared for the clean up, it doesn’t matter how prepared you are for everything else.

Because is anyone really prepared for motherhood? Haha
