Mother’s Day Weekend

Happy Monday babes! This weekend flew by and there was SO much going on. And this week is equally as crazy busy but we’ll get to that later! Let’s recap this past weekend first 🙂

Friday Miss P and I attended brunch with Hammit’s CEO, Tony Drockton and it was seriously so much fun. It was a super small, intimate group but we had the best time chatting business, life, and eating yummy eats! He gifted us these adorable bags (yes, Miss P hasn’t taken hers off since) and it was just an awesome event! Not to mention P was completely obsessed with Mr. Tony and he is seriously the coolest. The most down to earth, humble CEO I’ve ever met! Not to mention the bags are gorgeous 🙂

Saturday began with Mommy and Me tea! We had “tea”, did a few crafts, took photos in the photo booth, and dressed up all fancy of course! It’s always fun to do special things one-on-one with each of the kiddos and I try to always take advantage of these opportunities while I still can!

We headed straight to my son’s baseball game after tea, just in time to see him make a great hit! He’s played baseball for three seasons now and this is the first year of coach pitch. Thank God, because tee ball is the most boring thing ever haha and not going to lie, coach pitch hasn’t been the most exciting either. I’m super competitive and I just want him to learn, have fun, and practice so he can get better! Baseball is a lot slower paced than soccer or basketball, so it’s definitely going to be a bit more of a challenge to keep him entertained and stick with it.

The weather took a quick turn and it started pouring soon after getting home. So we spent the rest of the day cleaning and getting ready for our Mother’s Day celebration the next day. It’s always so hard to get everyone together and I was so happy we were able to get all of us in one place. My Nana hasn’t been doing so well so I know this was super important and such a great time for everyone.

We kept it easy with a BBQ, played corn hole, watched the Cavs game (boo.. we lost), and just reminisced about all the good times we’ve had together over the years. Much needed for sure! We love hosting and I love being able to do it more often now.

Ugh so pregnant up there in that pic… and still 11 weeks to go! I didn’t realize how much we had done until I just went to write this, so no wonder I’m tired! This is going to be a super crazy week and I’ll fill you in on all of that later. For now, I’ve got to get ready to go meet with the Diabetes Center regarding my recent Gestational Diabetes diagnosis. Can’t believe we have to deal with that again but nothing I can do about it!

I hope you all had a fabulous Mother’s Day weekend with your kiddos or mama. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my mom and I am just so thankful for her each and everyday. It’s been a rough transition coming back home but if anything, I get to spend more time with my family. And for that, I couldn’t be more thankful.

Have a great day babes!
