Bumpdate: 30 Weeks
Well friends it’s officially summer! Kids had their last day of school yesterday and I just can’t believe it. I feel like I just sent N to Kindergarten and now I’m going to have a 1st grader! How is that even possible?! I also feel like they get out of school super early; we always went to early or mid-June. And oh yeah, we’re going to have to a baby in the next few weeks too huh? Shit is getting real people!
P and I went to get pedicures Monday and then I went back Tuesday for a manicure. I need to get into a better habit of keeping my nails done, otherwise I bite them all off and then they bleed and hurt and yea…. anxious biter here. Plus I can’t go into labor with undone toe nails… so pedis will be a regular thing from here on out! haha
So with that, let’s get to this week’s bumpdate!
How far along: 30 weeks + 4 days
Size of baby: Zucchini
Baby’s size and weight: 15.7 in + 2.89 lbs
My total weight gain: 38 lbs
Baby’s development:
Baby’s skin is getting smoother.
Baby’s brain is getting wrinklier to make way for essential brain tissue.
Baby is strong enough to grasp a finger! What!
Lanugo is starting to disappear as baby’s brain and fat can regulate temps.
Stretch marks: Nope.
Maternity clothes: All the dresses. But I feel like I don’t have enough!
Gender: Girl.
Movement: She’s insane. And as she gets bigger and has less room to move, it hurts more!
Sleep: Super painful. It hurts to lay on my right side and I’ve been having a burning under my ribs on my left side.
What I miss: eating whatever I want. And drinking alcohol… like I just want a bubbly Shandy or champs now.
Food cravings: nothing inparticular.
Symptoms: Back pain, pelvic pressure, burning sensation under ribs.
The siblings are: Officially done with school and this mama needs a PLAN lol
High of the week: Being asked to speak on a panel! More to come on that 🙂
Low of the week: Diabetes sucks. And not knowing what’s going on with my son and these infections he keeps getting. The doctor says he won’t worry until he starts getting bacterial infections and viral infections are just unlucky. Just frustrating my kiddo has missed so much school and it’s becoming a habit of him getting fevers all the time.
We normally head out of town for Memorial Day Weekend but with being so pregnant, thought it would be better to stay put. So we have friends coming from D.C to visit! It’s not supposed to be the best weather so I’m hoping to changes and we can hit up the pool and lake!
Hope you all have a fabulous long weekend. And take a minute to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice so we can have the freedoms we do. XO!
Here are the previous bumpdates if you missed them!
