M.A.C. Shadescents

Is this not the most beautiful and creative box you’ve ever seen?!

M.A.C took six of their most popular lipsticks and created a fragrance to accompany it.

They include Heroine, Ruby Woo, Lady Danger, Candy Yum Yum, Velvet Teddy, and Creme D’Nude.

“Introducing six superb scents inspired by the personalities of six cult-favourite Lipsticks. From the seductive red leather Ruby Woo to the flirtatious Candy Yum-Yum, there’s a unique fragrance and matching Lipstick for each and every one of you.”

If we’re being honest, I wasn’t too fond of the first three fragrances. Lipsticks, yes. But the first three scents weren’t the best for me.

Heroine was my least favorite out of all the fragrances. It smelled like musky, men’s cologne.

Ruby Woo was a fruity scent but had a slight spice scent to it as well.

Lady Danger had a familiar smell but I couldn’t put my finger on it. The website says “burst of Golden Patchouli” but that’s not what I was thinking of. Either way, not one my faves.

My favorite fragrance was Candy Yum Yum for sure.  It’s sweet like candy!

My mom fell in love with Velvet Teddy which smelled like chocolate to me but I wasn’t a fan.

Creme D’Nude was my other favorite. It actually smelled like Pure Vanilla Extract to me but not in an overpowering way. Just slightly 🙂

But I’ve linked all of the colors and scents for you below so you can check them out for yourselves. M.A.C lipsticks go on super smooth and creamy and if you use a primer, they will last a lot longer than if you don’t.

Have you tried any of these lipsticks or Shadescents? Let me know what your favorites were!

A big thank you to M.A.C for sending me these fabulous PR samples.
