One of my favorite things to do is entertain. Seriously, I love finding a reason to have people over and set up for a party. Even if it’s just for a dinner on a random weekend, I find it a reason to go all out!
We spent a few weeks in Ohio over the holidays and I wanted to plan something special for my girlfriends when I got home. I know the holidays are always a stressful time for everyone so I thought, why not plan a breakfast for the girls when I get back?! We can stay in our pjs, watch a few chick flicks, and treat ourselves to a yummy breakfast.
I chose pink and gold for the party colors (they’re my favorite) because I feel like they’re feminine and classy. I’ve had the gold chevron table runner forever; I bought it on clearance after the holidays one year and I use it all of the time. Shopping tip: be on the lookout for things like that after the holidays 🙂 All of the other accessories were things I had from previous parties or things I know I’ll use again. I wanted to keep it simple but fun at the same time!
Here’s how easy it was:
1-2 Tablespoons of Sugar-Free Caramel Syrup (not like the sundae kind)
2-3 Tablespoons Expresso
Silk Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- Fill cup (or jar) with ice.
- Pour caramel and expresso over ice.
- Fill cup to top with Silk Unsweetened Almond Milk.
- Stir with straw and serve!
So easy right? And so delicious! Silk Almond Milk has 50% more calcium than dairy milk and absolutely no cholesterol or saturated fat. And Silk Dairy-Free yogurt has 6g of plant powered protein and is an excellent source of Vitamin D and calcium. Both of these products are dairy free and lactose free… and they were a hit with everyone!
Sometimes it’s important to take an ordinary day and make it an extraordinary one. There’s so much beauty to be found in a regular day and sharing it with good friends makes it even better. Watching movies, catching up, and just genuinely enjoying each other’s company makes for the best kind of fun. And of course yummy treats help too 😉
