Valentine’s Day outfit + favorite movie love quotes

Happy Valentine’s Day babes! Whether you’re single, dating, married, engaged, whatever it may be… LOVE IS LOVE. Call your parents, hug your kids, spoil yourself… you deserve it!

My husband and I don’t really celebrate the holiday with big gifts or anything like that. Not even just because we have kids now but it’s never really been a big holiday that we’ve celebrated. A card and some candy (especially that I’m pregnant right now, gimme all the chocolate covered pretzels) will do the job!

When I was growing up, my mom always gave my brother and I little goodies on Valentine’s Day. So I’ve always done the same for my kids. I love a good reason to spoil them and decorate the table in the morning 🙂

So let’s talk love. I was OBSESSED with movie love quotes for the longest time. And while I still love quotes, I don’t look at them as often. And I should! Sometimes you just need a good quote to get ya through the day.

So here are a few of my favorite movie love quotes:

“You don’t want to be in love. You want to be in love in a movie”-Sleepless in Seattle (This quote described me for awhile!)
“Me? I’m scared of everything. I’m scared of what I saw, I’m scared of what I did, of who I am, and most of all I’m scared of walking out of this room and never feeling the rest of my whole life the way I feel when I’m with you.”– Dirty Dancing
“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.“- When Harry Met Sally (this quote sums up mine and my husband’s relationship)
I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love.”– The Vow
“I love you. You complete me.”- Jerry Maguire
“It’s like in that moment the whole universe existed just to bring us together.”- Serendipity
“You don’t have to understand. You just have to have faith… faith in destiny.”-Serendipity
“So it’s not gonna be easy. It’s gonna be really hard. We’re gonna have to work at this every day, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, you and me, every day.”– The Notebook
“Life is not the amount of breaths you take, it’s the moments that take your breath away.”– Hitch
“He saved me. In every way a person can be saved.”– Titanic
“It doesn’t matter if the guy is perfect or the girl is perfect, as long as they are perfect for each other.”- Good Will Hunting

So what do you wear when it comes to your Valentine’s Day outfit? Well whatever you damn well please. It depends on your plans for the day. Are you going to dinner? Lunch date? Watching movies on the couch at home? I went for a more casual outfit because I’ll be running errands, gymnastics, and just spending time with my little lady. Jeans (yes, maternity jeans) have been my second go-to after leggings recently!

I found these shoes on clearance at Marshall’s for $6 and I love them for spring. I couldn’t find them online in pink but I found them here in 4 other colors! Probably more practical too 🙂

I snagged this lace kimono from Gabe’s which believe it or not, has some phenomenal hidden gems. I found a Michael Kors trench coat there the other day for less than $40! Insane in the membrane, right? And this love themed Betsey Johnson bag came from Plato’s Closet when we lived in D.C. Also a super cray deal. I’M ALL ABOUT THE DEALS PEOPLE!

And now if you excuse me, my little Galentine and I have a whole day of fun planned! One of her gifts may or may not be a best friends necklace..no shame in my game!

Happy Valentine’s Day babes! xo
