How to get unstuck when you’re feeling stuck.

This blog post is brought to you by Unstuck Life Courses and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.

I’ve admitted to y’all over and over again that I’m not perfect and that I struggle with the decisions I make as a mom. Are they eating enough? Am I teaching them to be kind? Am I present enough? Why did I yell like that? Etc.

I could go on and on with the mistakes I make daily but you know what? That’s motherhood. Taking it day by day and learning as best you can. I’m always looking for ways to better myself as a mother and as a person so when I heard about the Unstuck Life Courses, I was curious to see if I could learn anything and put change into motion.

Change what you may ask? My patience. Well rather my lack there of. I have been SO on edge with everything going on lately that my stress levels have been through the roof. Which in turn means my patience is slim to none. And when they’re hitting, arguing, and completely defiant, I lose my patience quicker than I’d like. I yell. And I hate yelling. But no type of discipline seems to work and I’m not really sure how to go about getting them to behave.

But I think part of that starts with me. Yelling causes an ugly cycle of them yelling and behaving like banshees. So to avoid that, I set out to change how I react and work on keeping my patience.

I went into it with an open mind hoping to find some guidance. However for my choice of change, it didn’t seem super fitting. I felt like a lot of the questions were geared towards changing in terms of changing careers, working out, quitting a bad habit, etc. I felt like some of the questions didn’t pertain to me and I had to pick the one that made more sense in order to continue on. So for me personally, I don’t believe that the courses were as beneficial as they might be for someone else who is looking to make a huge life change. But I did appreciate the creative approach and different types of learning tools available for someone who may need an extra push.

So what do you think? Would you be interested in trying Unstuck Life Courses? What kind of change are you looking to make?
