Preparing for baby with Carter’s Little Baby Basics

Hard to believe we’ll be holding our newest addition in just a few weeks! And since we weren’t sure we wanted more kids or when that would be (if ever), I got rid of a lot of their clothes. When it comes to stocking up for baby, I’ve learned a few things.

DON’T OVER BUY NEWBORN CLOTHES!

Seriously, I know they’re super cute and tiny and you are so excited to dress up your little human. But they grow out of these SO fast. Luckily both of my kids were actually able to wear them but I know a lot of babies who skipped right past the newborn size.

I like to stock up on a ton of different sizes of onesies because you know that no matter how big they are or what season it is, they’ll need onesies. There are so many cute outfits out there but onesies are a staple in a baby’s closet for sure. We are huge fans of the Little Baby Basics line because not only are the super soft and amazing quality, you can mix and match the pieces to make outfits or wear them on their own. I’ve already started washing all of the baby clothes and packed them away neatly in drawers. Babies have super sensitive skin since they’ve never worn clothes, so washing them in a gentle detergent and having it done ahead of time is a huge timesaver.

This is baby #3 and SO many things have changed when it comes to baby equipment and technology. But one thing that hasn’t changed and won’t ever change for us is dressing our littles in Carter’s. All three of them were Carter’s babies and it’s seriously surreal that my youngest is sitting here helping me prepare for a new baby. Like where has the time gone?! It feels like just yesterday I was preparing HER room and her onesies!
