That’s The Motto…YOLO.

Well guys, I did it. I survived hip hop last night.
And not to toot my own horn, but it was like riding a bike. I picked it up quickly, I remembered how to count, and it got better each time with repetition. The only thing I was lacking was “swag” because let’s face it, I’m not exactly confident in my post-baby body and I’ve forgotten how to werk it like I used to. But hopefully, I’ll find my inner Beyonce one of these days and be shaking my tail feather like there’s no tomorrow.

I’m going to get my hair done today and am loving these little doses of freedom while my parents are here. I wish they lived closer so I could do this all the time! It’s also raining here today so we will probably be hitting up the mall, indoor playground, and laying low tonight. Z and I have talked about going out for a little once the kids are asleep tonight but I don’t want to jinx it. I swear kids have like a sixth sense when it comes to their parents doing something without them. One of them needs me, starts crying, or gets sick every time we attempt something alone. I’m serious, never fails. I was telling this to a woman yesterday and she was like “just make sure your alone time doesn’t lead to another baby!” and I almost threw up in my mouth. No ma’am, that will NOT be happening. Trust me.

I read a friend’s post this week and it really hit home. For so long, I’ve been angry at people who have treated me poorly or who I’m no longer friends with and my friend Kenz wrote this wonderful post about it. If you have a second, I highly encourage you to read it. She’s young but boy is she ever wise, and I just love her to pieces.
Short and sweet today dolls… I’m trying to soak up every minute I can with my parentals! I’m linking up with Whit for #Backthatazzup and leaving you with the song we learned a dance to last night 🙂
