Toto, I have a feeling we’re not in Georgia anymore

Don’t be fooled; I took these pictures before I left Georgia. Now? I would be admitted for frost bite at the nearest ER. It was FREEZING today! I mean, I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. Right off Lake Erie aka the snow belt. But after living in Georgia for the past three years, I’ve forgotten how COLD the cold really is. I’ll get used to it but let me tell you, shooting outfits for the blog in 25 degree weather is absolutely miserable. Woof. How do you northern bloggers do it?!

We had such a fun but busy weekend. We made our 4th trip to Ikea to get some of the final pieces we needed for the house. I was expecting the assembly process to be a lot worse than it was. Now granted I didn’t put together anything more complicated than a lamp and a clothing rack haha but my husband seemed to do everything else with no problems whatsoever. Or maybe he’s just really good at following little picture people instead of instructions and is a beast. Either way, I love the things we’ve purchased and I can’t wait to give y’all a home tour when it’s finally done!

It snowed on Saturday and we took the kids sledding! Lady has never seen snow before and certainly never played with it. So she was super excited to get outside and go sledding! N hasn’t seen it in a few years and I think he was in his snow pants and boots for a few hours before we were finally ready to go outside. I’ll have to share some photos later this week because they were just the cutest little bundled kiddos. And I loved watching them enjoy the simple joys of childhood 🙂

On a side note, I wiped out while trying to push N down the hill and my entire side hurts. Getting old sucks! Speaking of getting old, I’m just a few weeks out from my 30th birthday. I can’t even believe it. I can’t possibly be that old, can I?! Wahhhhhh

I’m still playing catch up from our move and the holidays so bare with me as I get my life together. I haven’t worked out in over a month and have been eating like shit. There are still boxes and piles of crap everywhere. I still don’t know how to go anywhere without a GPS. BUT I did find the mall, N loves school, two of my college roomies live here and I’m going to a blogging event on Friday. SO things aren’t all that bad! One day at a time… one day at a time.

And last but not least, my favorite boutique in Georgia, The Posh Peach, has a new website! So that dress up there? And a lot of the outfits I wear are now available online! SO be sure to head on over and check out their selection. You won’t be sorry!

Hope y’all had a great weekend. May your Monday be short and your coffee be strong! xo

Sounds like you guys have all of the snow we usually do this time of year. Up here in Toronto, we can see grass! Enjoy 🙂

Girl, there’s no way you’re about to turn 30. That’s crazy to me haha but I’m so glad the kids loved the snow so much!! Growing up in Maine, I too should be used to the cold weather. But living in the south really changes you. Moving from North Carolina to Maine was not the most fun move come wintertime haha now, it’s sunny and 75 every day here in San Diego and I couldn’t miss the cold more!

Ahhh, so sad you’re no longer a GA blogger! But, you are rocking this dress and you’re going to rock it in DC. Can’t wait to see how it goes!
