March iPhone photo dump and recap

Can you even believe it’s the last day of March?! Like where in the world is 2017 going?! I swear time just keeps going faster and faster and I just can’t seem to get my life together. Always playing catch-up and wishing I had more hours in the day. But I guess so does everyone else, right? And I like to think I’m doing the best I can so it is what it is!

We’ve had such a busy month and today we’re looking back on the chaos. Some of the things we’ve done (some posts I’ve written and the others are in the works), some products I’ve tried, etc. SO get ready for the March iPhone photo dump and recap!

I’ve fallen in love with working out. On days that I don’t go, I feel terrible. I’m not trying to be some super fitness star but rather get in shape and feel good about myself. It also helps with my anxiety and depression and just makes me feel better!

“Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t kill their husbands. They just don’t.”

I’ve been trying to spend some more one-on-one time with my little man. You don’t see him in many pictures because 1) he’s in school and 2) I have to beg him to take them with me. But after having a few behavioral issues we decided to see a behavioral health counselor (more coming on that later) and this was one of the things she suggested. It’s a work in progress but I won’t complain about extra time with my first baby.

Z and I celebrated 6 years of marriage. Our anniversary fell on the weekend I had friends from college visiting so we didn’t get to do anything special. We’re working to plan a trip, just the two of us, but we’ve got a super busy year with weddings and travel plans. But we’re really trying to make it a priority!

We went to the Zoo, dinner, nature hikes, the Baltimore Aquarium, and more when my friends were visiting. You can read the deets on that trip here. And stay tuned for Part 2 comin’ at ya soon!

We took a last minute trip to Cleveland for a few days and it just so happened that they got slammed with a huge snow storm while we were there. Sleds, snowboards, snowmen… the kids were in heaven!

I received a few new products to try this month:

First, O.P.I Original Nail Envy, which is supposed to help strengthen my nails. I bite like a mad woman so I was hoping this would help. And I think it does! I just have such a problem with biting that once I start, I can’t stop. And then they’re gone..womp womp.

I was also sent Function of Beauty personalized shampoo and conditioner and I love them! I was able to customize it completely; we’re talking scent, color, and my 5 biggest hair concerns. I love how it smells and it makes my hair feel amazing!

And last but not least, I became an Ideal Shape Ambassador! I haven’t tried all of the products yet but those S’more bars up there are legit. They’re so good and they definitely hold me over between meals. Stay tuned as I try the rest of it and grab a coupon here to try for yourself 🙂

Like I mentioned, it’s been a crazy month full of visitors. These pics are all from our second round of house guests and our Staycation” around the city, so I’ll be chatting more about that too. We purchased a Explore City Pass, found some hidden gems and a ton of free stuff…which is always a plus!

I attended an Influencer party for Erin Condren at Due South and wrote all about it on the blog. There’s also a discount code so getcha self some goodies.

The past few days have been filled with last minute adventures before my husband started back at work yesterday. He’s been off recovering from back surgery and we’ve been enjoying all of the family time we could get. We frequented the Cherry Blossoms at the Tidal Basin, toured Arlington National Cemetery, indulged with cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcakes, got ice cream and ate on the water in Old Town and creeped (literally) on the infamous Exorcist staircase. You can say it’s been a busy month 🙂

I don’t know how much time we have left here in D.C. or what our future holds. So far now, I will hold these memories, chaos and all, close to my heart. April has big shoes to fill because March was really one for the books.
