Day to Night fashion.

Being a stay-at-home-mom means I don’t have to get up and get dressed every morning if I don’t want to. But I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I choose to do it because it makes me feel better. Don’t get me wrong, there are some afternoons where I can’t remember if I brushed my teeth that morning or some nights when I realize I’m still in the same outfit I wore to bed…after I wore it all day the day before too. But for the most part, I try and take 10 minutes to get dressed, put on makeup, and brush my teeth.
On the rare occasion that I get to go out with my friends or my husband, it’s usually a pretty quick transition. So today’s post is all about transitioning your outfit from day to night 🙂

Jumping Jack tee c/o// Camo pants (thrifted but similar here) Jumping Jack headband c/o// Boots via Rack Room Shoes c/o// Target bag (sold out but similar here)// Alex and Ani bracelets

Lizard Thicket Boutique sweater// Kate Spade bag via Twice// Express sunnies (sold out but similar here)
I had never thought of adding tights under ripped jeans until I saw it somewhere online and fell in love. I wish I had lace ones because those were the ones I saw this done with, but this worked just as well. I took my hair down, threw on a sweater, and was ready to roll. These boots  from Rack Room Shoes are perfect for day and night; they’re super comfortable for running errands and also work for a night out on the town.
But my favorite way to take my look from day to night? Lipstick. I didn’t start wearing lipstick until a few years ago and I’ve never looked back. Although there are certain colors that are “trendy” each season, I still loveeeeeee red lips. Total sass and perfect for taking any look from day to night 🙂
How do you take your looks from day to night??
