family life

A full house.

Well folks I made it. Z has been out of town for the past few weeks and I thought I was going to rip my hair out or drink my face off multiple times. I know, we’ve gone longer than that before but for whatever reason, it never gets easier. Especially now that the kids are both mobile, crazy, and fighting 24/7, I literally just police them all day. Throw in 2 cats and 2 dogs and it’s a damn near circus up in this joint. To say I’m excited he’s home is an understatement. Yes I missed him but not having twice the responsibilities? I’m cool with that too.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, my parents arrived last night as well! It’s been so long since we’ve seen them (Christmas) so I’m so glad they were able to make a trip. We have a lot of fun things planned over the next few days and I’m just so happy to have them here. The kids have been counting down for the last two weeks and waking up every morning saying “4 more days!” or whatever the count was. I hate that my parents are missing out on so much as my kids grow up but it makes these visits that much more special. And thank God for FaceTime for the time in between visits.

Z and my dad are going to work on the yard for a little today while the girls go shopping. Surprised? Friday we’re taking family photos since we never seem to take any when my parents come to visit. And if we do we’re never all in them. Saturday Nolan has a tee ball game and then Z and I are headed to the Music and Miracles concert. Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt, and Old Dominion… all on one stage. YES. So stinkin’ excited!

The rest of the weekend is kind of up in the air and I’m totally okay with that. We always have a good time so I’m not too worried about making plans. Seeing them is enough 🙂

Have a great Thursday friends… final push to the weekend! xo
